St Margaret's - Queensferry |
Donations |
Your donations
are essential to fund the activities of St Margaret's and
to maintain our church.
Gift Aid makes each £1
you give to St Margaret's worth £1.25.
Your donations, and the efforts
of the church organisations, have funded essential maintenance
and improvements such as: the Parish Centre, new church roof,
paint work, treating dampness, heating, church lighting and
windows, anti-vandalism measures, and the gathering area at
the front of the church.
The value of your donation
can be increased by Gift Aid. All that is required is a one
off declaration from you, which you can download below, then just fill it in and post it to us at the address on the form - we will do the rest. |

To qualify for Gift Aid, you must have paid an amount of
income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the
tax that St Margaret's will reclaim on your donation in
the tax year that your gift is received.
If you pay tax at the higher
rate you are entitled to claim further tax relief in your
annual self assessment tax return. You can also choose to
donate the additional money you save to St Margaret's.
If your circumstances change
or you wish to withdraw from the scheme, then you can cancel
your declaration at any time either by phone or in writing.
If you are unsure whether
your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, then contact
us on 0131 331 1007, or you can contact the Inland Revenue
directly by phone on their Gift Aid help line 0151 472 6038
or online at www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk.
Please also notify
us of any changes of your name and address. You can contact
us by telephone or by email at giftaid@saint.margarets.org.uk.
